Description
Unusual Alcobaca Portuguese pottery jug in a stunning pale blue with abstract decoration. Pottery has been made at Alcobaca since the 12th century but this is a very unusual example as it’s got a more mid-century twist than some of the more floral and traditional pottery from this region. The jug is in good condition and 11 x 11cms. Beautiful vivid abstract colours with orange and pale blue and cobalt predominant but some lime green as well.
