Stunning vintage Chinese hard wood candleholder or figurine.. I think he’s a Chinese deity and his staff functions as a candle holder. He’s very tall at 56cms so a real statement piece, lovely patina to the wood, I should think he dates from the 1950s or 1960s. He has one or two cracks that look like they’ve been there since he was originally carved, so these are more part of the manufacturing process than damage. He stands 56cms high to the top of the candle holder.
