Beautiful pair of vintage Porthmadog Welsh art pottery goblets. Fabulous blue and grey glaze, hand decorated and both the goblets have a wide bowl, almost chalice shaped. These beautiful Welsh studio pottery goblets are 14cms high in good condition.
Not a lot is known about Porthmadog pottery but it produced beautiful glazes and quite original designs that have a rather art nouveau feel about them. Porthmadog Pottery was based in Gwynedd, North West Wales. The pottery was in the basement of Craft Centre at Cymru, which was in the Snowdon Mill (originally a steam-powered flour mill) from the 1960s, possibly up until the early 2000s.
