Description

Pair of unusual vintage Torquay pottery squashed pots probably dating from 1930s or 1940s.  The glaze is a lovely rich cobalt blue on the terracotta base that Devon and Torquay pottery is so famous for and then they are hand decorated with pheasants and trees.  One vase has the motto “All’s well that ends well” after Shakespeare’s play and the other says “Tomorrow never comes”.   Lovely examples of vintage Torquay pottery motto ware in good vintage condition.
