Beautiful cobalt blue antique glass square shaped decanter probably Bristol but I can’t be sure. I’ve not been able to find a match for this anywhere online in a couple of years. It’s quite rare. Lovely colour, heavy and good quality and unusual shape and stopper. The decanter stands 31cms high including the stopper and is 10cms across the squared shaped body but the top of the decanter is curved. The glass is quite textured and I think this has some age judging by the broken off pontil and the fact that the glass isn’t clear but textured. I would estimate it dating back to the late 1800s possibly earlier. A beautiful and unusual antique piece of glass. Good condition, there are just a few rough edges round the end of the decanter’s stopper but no damage.
